Maintenance

   

On Call Volunteers:
The co-op is fortunate to have dedicated and long-standing volunteer members who attend to after-hour emergencies. This volunteer service is provided to address emergency/ maintenance situations only. The co-op defines "emergencies" as follows:

  • Loss of hydro power
  • Serious leaks or floods
  • Lock outs
On call services
do not cover:
  • Noise Complaints

  • Fires

  • Investigating illegal activities
    (These are considered police matters and 911 should be called.)

    Bleecker Street Co-op is committed to providing a high standard of maintenance to its members. Board and staff work together and are responsible for long and short term maintenance and renovation planning.

    SOLAR HEATING / HOT WATER
    Staff are currently making applications for the funding of solar heat programs for our domestic hot water. Our target date to begin implementation (depending on funding) is April 2008.


    GIVING NOTICE TO TERMINATE MEMBERSHIP (MOVING OUT)
    The co-op Bylaws require (That you provide 65 DAYS Written Notice to the co-op office ending on the last day of a rental period (ie. January 25th Notice for move-out on March 31st) Please make moving arrangements with Maintenance co-ordinator as soon as possible to secure the moving day that you require. Forms available On-line
